As deadlines fast approach, a desperate PCG’s Dan Stapleton utilizes a special gift from Valve to save the day. If you haven’t played Portal, do. If you have, watch. If you don’t remember, let us remind you: “the cake is a lie”.

PS: Special thanks to everyone at Aperture Science for the cake. It was so tasty and moist.
This week we’re trying something a little different: We have a walk through of Universe at War: Earth Assault, complete with game play footage. PCG’s very own Dan Stapleton just reviewed the game for the January issue and was happy to report that it is in fact a game, a game that will likely appeal to those among you who fancy RTS games…on computers. So here’s the dealeo: Three playable alien factions, very different, some aliens that create crop circles, but no playable Mel Gibson or M. Night characters. So it’s Starcraft meets War of the Worlds, with crab walking-things, kinda, but not really.
Intern Intern Andy, wherefore art thou? Get me a sandwich! Oh, wait, his internship is over? *&%@! Looks like “Mr. Stapleton” will have to get his own lunch. This is Andy’s swan song podcast and we think he did a great job… for an intern. In addition, we have super secret footage of John Carmack demoing his new IP “Rage”. It’s a huge outdoor world - a big departure from the darkened hallways ID is used to creating…
Watch this video closely, many interns died bringing you this information.
PS: Andy, please bring back all the *%#@ you stole, or we’ll tell your mom.
This podcast is weird. Here’s the deal: Richard Garriott (AKA: Lord British) is an interesting fellow. In order to promote his new MMO Tabula Rasa, he invited us to go into space…not really, but close enough. Zero G is a company that takes clients on ‘experience tourism’ flights that simulate the weightlessness of space. It was, in a word, splendiferous. The two most interesting take aways: 1) In zero-G, one doesn’t get dizzy. 2) It makes one giggle like a schoolgirl on nitrous oxide.
If you have the means, we highly recommend giving it a whirl. If not, watch the video…and dream…
